The CA-1 (Carpenter Assist-1), an electric powered utility vehicle, was completed during a 36-hour workshop held at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California in May of 2005. The municipalWORKSHOP team worked with four classes at the College of Visual Arts and Media Studies at PCC and focused the workshop on working outside the traditional realm of public art. The municipalWORKSHOP lead a student/faculty tour of the Facilities Services Department on campus and then worked side by side with students in the Sculpture area to complete the CA-1. The Carpenter Team of the Pasadena City College Facilities Services Department now uses the CA-1 on a daily basis.
